King & Queen

Dunwoody, Georgia – There are many things about metro Atlanta that makes it so much of a favorite destination for many.

Whether it be the Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain Park, the birth home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Lenox Mall, summer concerts at Piedmont Park and more. There are so many things to do and go to choose from, but there are two hidden crown jewels that many locals adore.

The king and queen towers of Dunwoody are often looked upon as a symbol of what unconditional love is. A love that never stops going. A king that is accompanied by his queen 24-7-365. They both stand tall together lighting the Dunwoody skies with their beautiful stature and display of colors.

Years ago as a former employee of Perimeter Mall. Nights traveling home on MARTA from the Dunwoody MARTA station. I often used to stand adoring both buildings as I waited for a train. I later wrote a poem named after the king & queen buildings. The name of the poem was called, “King & Queen.”

Today… One night while driving home along 400 I drove past the king and queen buildings and they reminded me of my poem. I been trying to come up with a short film idea and thought my poem would be perfect, but how would I produce it?

I thought about it over the weekend and developed a treatment. The following day at work after getting off I spent two hours driving back and forth on 400 and 285 trying to get the right footage. I spent the following week editing and gather opinions from others.

Now I present to you the first live action short film produced under the 107 Films brand. Currently, we are living in a world where social media is dictating our lifestyles and causing so much friction between both men and women with useless arguments about 50/50, what makes a real man, what makes a real woman and more.

The king and queen buildings are a perfect example of what true love is. Hopefully, one day if you haven’t already found your true love, you will love and treat them with royalty just as the King and Queen buildings love and cherish one another.

Enjoy.
