The Trump trial will become the biggest thing to happen in Atlanta since the 1996 Olympics
Over the years since the Olympics, there have been a number of major events over the years here in Atlanta such as: MegaFest, Birthday Bash, For Sisters Only, Sweet Auburn Festival, Dogwood Festival, and more. Atlanta has even had a number of major celebrities stop or plan to stop by to bless us with their presence: Elton John, Beyonce, George Strait, Aerosmith, Lionel Richie, Bruno Mars, The Eagles, and more.
But none of these will be as big as the upcoming legal visit by former President, Donald Trump. Accompanied by 18 co-defendants who are all facing various charges such as: racketeering, criminal conspiracy, criminal solicitation, filing false documents, and making false statements.
So far there have been five of the 18 codefendants have turned themselves in and have been granted a bond. Trump has announced that he will be turning himself into Fulton County on Thursday after agreeing to a $200,000 bond. Trump must follow the following bond conditions:
“The Defendant shall perform no act to intimidate any person known to him or her to be a codefendant or witness in this case or to otherwise obstruct the administration of justice. Id. This shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
a. The Defendant shall make no direct or indirect threat of any nature against any codefendant;
b. The Defendant shall make no direct or indirect threat of any nature against any witness including, but not limited to, the individuals designated in the Indictment as an unindicated co-conspirators Individual 1 through Individual 30;
c. The Defendant shall make no direct or indirect threat of any nature against any victim;
d. The Defendant shall make no direct or indirect threat of any nature against the community or to any property in the community;
e. The above shall include, but are not limited to, posts on social media or reposts of posts made by another individual on social media;”
Expect large crowds and visitors from everywhere trying to catch a glimpse of the former president. Trump’s mugshot is expected to be the most viral image today because he will become the first president ever to have a mugshot taken.
During Trump’s trial also expect protestors from both sides of the argument; both supporters and rivals. The next couple of months are going to be crucial for Trump as Fulton County Prosecutors push for a March 2024 trial, but Trump’s lawyers are trying to postpone the trial until 2026.
Grab your popcorn because this will be the greatest show on Georgia turf.
