Why is Ron DeSantis and Gavin Newsom coming to Georgia to debate?
Fox News is scheduled to host a debate between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newsom on November 30th.
DeSantis plans to run for the 2024 Republican nomination for President, but Newsom has no intentions to run for the Democratic nomination. Newsom is not planning to run until 2028. So if they both are not the selected candidates for their parties and will not be facing one another during this upcoming election, why are they debating each other, and why is it occurring in Georgia of all places?
Our guess is that the state of Georgia is a much-needed state for both parties. During the 2024 election, the state of Georgia turned blue after being red for many years of Republican faith. Not to mention the ongoing trials of former President Trump and his 18 co-defendants in Fulton County. So right now all eyes are on Georgia, and this Red (DeSantis) Vs. Blue (Newsom) debate in Georgia is the perfect location.
The 90 minute Fox spexial will be hosted by Sean Hannity and will be called, “Red Vs. Blue State Debate.”
DeSantis has already begun promoting the event with a dramatized trailer.
