Rick Ross donates $30,000 to help a Fayette County health clinic

Fayette County, Georgia – The Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic was on the verge of closing because it did not have the funds to help it properly continue to operate.

The clinic provides free medical care to Fayette County residents 18 years of age and up. The clinic regularly operates with the assistance of grants, fundraising efforts, and donations. The Fayette County-based rapper, Rick Ross, stepped in and helped the clinic with it’s biggest individual donation ever.

Atlanta’s WSB Channel 2 was present at Fayette CA.R.E. Clinic to interview Ross as he provided the donated funds.

Ross shared that community clinics such as Fayette C.A.R.E. are important to him due to the loss of his father, “A clinic like this means a lot to me. I lost my father at an early age and I felt like one of the reasons I lost him so early is because of his lack of healthcare.”

Fayette C.A.R.E. recently held a fundraiser with a goal of $50,000. They were able to raise $19,000 of the goal. Now that Ross has helped by contributing $30,000 the clinic has now met its fundraising goals.

“I look forward to continue to help out as much as possible. I consider you family, friends, and of course neighbors,” Ross said.
