There’s a new chick in the neighborhood

Chick-fil-A opens the new Midtown/Old Fourth Ward location

Atlanta, Georgia – It has been at least two years in the making, and on Friday, June 15, the new Chick-fil-A at 690 Ponce De Leon Ave had become a reality. The new standalone location is the first within Midtown/Old Fourth Ward area. The location was the former site of a Texaco gas station.

Sitting prominently at the intersection of Ponce and Boulevard, the new location has a unique design that is sure to catch anyone’s eye. A drive-thru, access to dine-in, and also a pickup drive-thru designed specifically just for food delivery drivers such as Uber Eats, GrubHub, Instacart, Postmates, and more.

This new food addition to the ever-changing environment of Ponce De Leon is sure to give local residents, businesses, and visitors to the area more than what they are looking for all within a three or four-block radius. There are several other fast food options within the intersection of Ponce and Boulevard: McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Dunkin Doughnuts, Popeye’s, Cookout, Dominos, and more. Former NBA star, Shaquille O’Neal, is rebuilding a new Krispy Kreme a block away west, and about two blocks away east at the former Dugan’s location, there will be a second Chick-fil-A restaurant, but geared more towards casual eat-in dining.
