A popular bridal store abruptly closes, leaving clients scrambling for other options before their big day.
Atlanta, Georgia – This past week, many people across the Atlanta metro community have been scrambling to find alternatives for their wedding day attire due to the sudden closure of Savvi Formalwear and Anya Bridal. The two clothing stores were owned by Dapper & Dashing and provided formal wear for weddings, proms, and other occasions. A sign on the front door of Anya Bridal read, “Sorry, we are closed today. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you are a customer returning your tuxedo from the weekend, you will not be charged late fees and may keep your tuxedo. Please visit our website at dapperanddashing.com.”
Instagram user, “Chanelmusic,” is one of the customers of Anya Bridal and she was desperately seeking options with her wedding dress that was paid for in full. ChanelMusic contacted A.T.L. News – Georgia and shared with us, “Anya Bridal ABRPTLY CLOSES and I never received my WEDDING DRESS. The message also contained a video recording of Chanelmusic visibly upset and asking herself, why?
But thanks to members of the metro Atlanta community, ChanelMusic was able to find another designer that helped her with a dress replacement free of charge. Carol Williams, the owner of Fairy Godmother’s Closet, had opted to give away wedding dresses to the affected brides of Anya Bridal’s closing.
Ms. Williams works with brides to make sure that they receive a wedding dress to look like the beautiful bride that they want to be. If you were a bride affected by Anya Bridal’s sudden closing, Carol Williams, the Fairy Godmother may be able to assist you with your wedding dress needs free of charge.
Ms. Williams can be reached by phone at (503) 560-1921 or by email at: Williams.Carol.Comcast.net
During the time of this story posting, it has been reported that ChanelMusic, other customers, and even employees of Anya Bridal have yet to hear anything about their dresses, refunds, or jobs.
