Former President Jimmy Carter and wife, Rosalynn, spends more than just a lifetime together
Plains, Georgia – It’s been said that the couple first met when the president was just three-years-old and Rosalynn was just a newborn.
Over the years in the small town of Plains, the families of both the President and Rosalynn always had a close relationship. Years later after returning home from the U.S. Naval Academy, the President’s younger sister set him up on a date with Rosalynn who always adored the President from a distance.
Since their first date together, the couple has formed an inspiring and inseparable union that has been recognize not only as Georgia’s favorite couple, but also as a public display of a lifetime of love and matrimony.
