Meet “Pope David”

A Georgia Catholic school teaches students about the conclave process through mock election

Cumming, Georgia – A local Catholic school simulates the conclave process as an educational initiative to teach students about papal selection, allowing them to elect a “Pope” of their own—”Pope David.” Perhaps one day when these children grow older, they will participate in the actual process of selecting a Pope. It’s even possible that one of these students might someday assume the papal office themselves.
