The end of a slutty era draws near

Ponce City Market’s Bar Vegan Announces Closure
Atlanta, Georgia – It stands as one of the busiest establishments in Ponce City Market, and arguably one of the most vibrant hotspots along the Ponce-Midtown corridor.
Bar Vegan was established by celebrated restaurateur Pinky Cole as a cornerstone of her expanding vegan empire, Slutty Vegan. What began as a humble food truck making sporadic popup appearances throughout the metro Atlanta area at various events in 2018 soon evolved when Cole successfully launched her first brick and mortar location in Atlanta’s Westview neighborhood.
Throughout the following years, Cole’s Slutty Vegan brand flourished, expanding beyond Atlanta to establish a growing footprint in major cities across the country.
In 2021, Cole elevated her Slutty Vegan concept by unveiling Bar Vegan at the prestigious Ponce City Market. The upscale establishment quickly captivated patrons, drawing substantial lunch and happy hour crowds during weekdays and becoming a bustling destination for weekend revelry.
However, despite its remarkable popularity, the business faced mounting legal challenges. Bar Vegan has confronted allegations of withholding employee pay and subsequent lawsuits. Recently, Cole announced the strategic relaunch of Slutty Vegan in what she terms its “2.0 form” following a period of behind-the-scenes turmoil where she temporarily lost control of the business before regaining ownership amid complicated legal proceedings. Now comes another significant development – the permanent closure of Bar Vegan, news first reported by Rough Draft Atlanta.
According to an official statement posted on Bar Vegan’s Instagram account, the establishment will serve customers for the final time on May 5th.
