Tyler Perry Plans Studio Expansion with New Entertainment District

Major Development to Include Office, Retail, and Theater Spaces by 2028

Atlanta, Georgia – WSBTV is reporting that Tyler Perry is seeking to expand his studio by developing a new entertainment district on the Fort McPherson site, with completion targeted for 2028. The project is set to include 1.3 million square feet of office space, retail outlets, and a theater.

Perry originally purchased Fort McPherson in 2015 for $30 million, and in 2021, he acquired additional acreage for $8 million. An earlier proposal included a 3,000-seat theater for concerts, but this portion of the project was never realized.
