Free grocery store opens to serve the needs of students and local residents
The city of Stonecrest, the nonprofit Foodr, and Martin Luther King High School partnered together to open the county’s first free grocery store.
Located in DeKalb County’s Martin Luther King High School, the grocery store is available to residents and students who may need financial assistance. The partnership is designed to provide free groceries to help prevent anyone from going hungry.
The name of the grocery store is called the “Lion’s Den Grocery.”
