The Grammy-winning Atlanta native steps up as the voice of the ‘LET MARTA DRIVE’ campaign to guide global soccer fans and promote transit respect.

ATLANTA, GA — With the global spotlight turning to Atlanta for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is bringing in local royalty to help navigate the crowds. MARTA has officially announced a partnership with Grammy Award-winning artist and OutKast legend Big Boi to launch its new “LET MARTA DRIVE” campaign.

The initiative aims to curb the inevitable traffic gridlock and parking nightmares that come with hosting soccer fans from around the world. By urging locals and visitors to ditch their cars, the campaign positions transit as the fastest, stress-free route to matches, fan festivals, and concerts across Downtown Atlanta.

Direct from the Source

“Big Boi’s music is deeply embedded in the culture of Atlanta, making him the perfect person to help us welcome soccer fans from around the globe,” said MARTA Interim General Manager and CEO Jonathan Hunt. “We look forward to bringing his unmistakable voice directly to our riders through exclusive station announcements and digital content.”

The Atlanta native, entrepreneur, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee shared his excitement for keeping his hometown moving smoothly during the tournament.

“Atlanta has always been a city that moves people and sets trends,” Big Boi said. “When the world comes here, I want everyone to feel that energy without the stress. MARTA makes it easy to get downtown, to the events, and everywhere in between.”

Dual Focus: Gridlock and Respect

Beyond navigating transit logistics, the “LET MARTA DRIVE” campaign is pulling double duty by reinforcing the agency’s “Ride with Respect” initiative.

As transit lines see massive surges in ridership, Big Boi will be the voice reminding passengers to treat fellow riders, transit employees, and public spaces with care and consideration.

To help international and first-time riders navigate the expanded traffic, MARTA is steering commuters toward its newly updated digital suite.
