Reward increases for information leading to arrest in the murder of Katie Janness and her dog, Bowie
Atlanta, Georgia – It has been four years since the tragic murder of Katie Janness and her dog, Bowie, in the Midtown Piedmont Park area. On the night of July 27, 2021, after having dinner, the two were taking a late-night walk in Piedmont Park when they were fatally stabbed.
When Katie and Bowie did not return home, Katie’s partner, Emma Clark, began searching for them shortly after 1 a.m. using a phone tracking app. Tragically, she discovered that both had suffered multiple stab wounds. Despite extensive investigations over the years, local authorities have not uncovered any concrete leads.
Initially, a $10,000 reward was offered to encourage people to come forward with information, but no significant tips emerged. Now, four years later, the reward has been increased to $25,000 in hopes of motivating anyone with knowledge of the case to speak up.
