Atlanta, Georgia – Nowadays you can’t go anywhere or do anything without it costing you a pretty penny. No more dollar menus to eat from. No more grocery store deals of 10 for $10. Nor any more $1 theaters to catch an old feature film release.

Residing anywhere within the Atlanta metropolitan community shouldn’t have to take the break the bank in order to have a good time. Though you aren’t able to find a spot to rent for less than $1,000 nowadays, but you can still find a good meal, entertainment and more for $10 or less.

From soul-satisfying meals that honor our city’s diverse culinary heritage to world-class art that inspires and unique adventures that showcase Atlanta’s character, here’s proof that ten dollars can still go a long way in Atlanta.

Tasty Eats for $10 or Less

Atlanta’s food scene is legendary, and you don’t need to spend big to eat well. Start your budget dining adventure at NFA Burger in Dunwoody, where most items ring in under $10 . Their single burger clocks in at just $5.75, while a double runs $9.

For a taste of Atlanta’s soul food heritage, Eats on Ponce remains unbeatable and community gem to the Midtown/Virigina Highlands community. Here you can find a la cartes of: 1/2 Jerk Chicken, 1/2 Lemon Pepper Chicken, Turkey Meatloaf, Chicken Chili, Jerk Tilapia (Friday), and 1/2 BBQ Chicken(Wed/Sun). This city staple has been serving quick, affordable homestyle meals for more than three decades. Their jerk chicken—half a bird seasoned with a blend of peppery, smoky spices—costs just $6.50, and with sides $3.05.

A little ways up the street and around the corner from Eats in the Virginia-Highlands is Moe’s & Joe’s, where you can easily build a full plate. Equipped with a dive bar that’s been slinging their famous Mojo burger since 1947. At $6 for a Mojo burger, it’s a slice of Atlanta history you can afford. On Wednesdays, pair it with a $2 PBR for the full experience.

The city’s international food scene offers incredible value, especially along Buford Highway. Bismillah Cafe in Chamblee serves up authentic halal dishes with most items under $10. Their fish, veggie or mixed burger deliver big flavors for small prices. Meanwhile, Quoc Huong Banh Mi Fast Food offers Bánh Mì Ga for $5 and their Bánh Mì Đặc Biệt (pate, meatloaf, pork sausage & bellies) for just $4.50.

Don’t overlook Fat Matt’s Rib Shack, where you can get a rib sandwich for $9.15 – Leaving room in your budget for a slice of their famous pecan pie. The barbecue here consistently ranks among Atlanta’s best, with diners comparing it favorably to Texas joints

For late – night munchies, Fellini’s Pizza has been a local favorite since forever, offering massive slices starting at just $3.25 each. And Victory Sandwich Bar in Decatur keeps things simple with every sandwich priced at $6, making it a perfect late-night stop after exploring the area.
