Gucci Mane: Letter To Takeoff

It has been over two weeks since fans of Atlanta’s Hip Hop group, Migos, lost member Takeoff to a senseless act of violence in Houston, Texas.

But it has been two weeks since those close to Takeoff are waking up each and every day without him by their side. One of those people close to Takeoff, Gucci Mane, has written a letter to him in the form of what he does best, a song. Titled, “Letter To Takeoff,” Gucci released a video for the song that shows him mourning the death of Takeoff with an all-black wardrobe in the middle of a cemetery.

Gucci opens the song with the line, “Just left another funeral I shed a tear. I’m still in disbelief I can’t believe it’s real. I think about the memories it gives me chills.”

In the song, Gucci shares memories of other fallen rappers that were friends of his, Shawty Lo, PnB Rock, and Young Dolph.

Gucci goes on to say that others call him a hypocrite, and he responded by saying, “I don’t have the right to vote I don’t play politics. They say I’m crazy and I just maybe a little bit. But you are voting for Herschel Walker you idiots!”
