Again, Ms. Abrams is attacking my record

Governor Kemp fends off an aggressive Abrams in their final stand

Just nine days until the November 8th primary election. Georgia’s candidates for governor squared off for the third time in their epic battle for office. Republican Governor Brian Kemp and Democrat Stacey Abrams met in Atlanta at a debate hosted by WSBTV in their Midtown studio.

The first debate that took place between the two was in 2017 when the two first competed in the Governor’s race that Kemp won. The second time was just earlier this month and included Libertarian candidate, Shane Hazel.

This third and final debate did not include Hazel because of electoral threshold requirements. Throughout the debate, Kemp kept responding to Abrams’s accusations and defending himself by saying, “Again, Ms. Abrams is attacking my record.”

Abortion rights, gun laws, medical expansion, and the Georgia economy were all topics of discussion during the debate. The debate can be viewed in its entirety below courtesy of WSBTV.
